We’ve all seen Lady Gaga’s new “Telephone” music video featuring Beyonce (and if you haven’t, where have you been?). Upon first viewing it, I must say that while I didn’t understand what the heck was going on, I definitely knew I just witnessed something of a spectacular nature. The song itself is about someone constantly calling Gaga while she’s trying to enjoy a night out at a club with her girls. The video pretty much has nothing to do with any of that. It instead takes us to a prison filled with the most scantly clad ladies who get to dance around the halls and talk on their Verizon cell phones. If this is the punishment for crime, I wouldn’t mind cutting loose and breaking a few laws.
Upon Gaga getting bailed out by Beyonce, the two ladies go on a killing spree seeking revenge for… I don’t know what.
The following parody pretty much sums up how I believe most people perceived the video.
