Clone Wars adventures is a new SOE free to play MMO title, much like FreeRealms but with Star Wars characters and settings. The Clone Wars series on cartoon network has been really well received, with older fans considering it to be the best Star Wars stories since the originals! It also appeals to children (who the games are usually skewed towards) and follows the normal Star Wars family friendly brand of adventure, action and fun.

The idea behind this is a casual online playing place for fans to get together and play mini games. A retail boxed version will include bonus material not available to free players, as the structure of the game is free to play, but you can purchase things to enhance the experience. I enjoy that much more than a monthly fee, because you are free to go in and out whenever you please. A closed beta is up soon, so we should have some hands on experience with this title coming up before the holiday release! Stay tuned!
