Singularity: Time Shocking Russians
July 16th, 2010
Brian Jones Video games tend to evolve and grow with time, while this means bigger budgets and ultimately better games, it also means that creativity and unique titles don’t get a chance to shine much, unless they are lower budget titles. Most game companies are too large, and games are too expensive to risk anything that isn’t proven. So it came as a surprise that Activision allowed Raven Software to create a FPS that wasn’t Call of Duty: 5 Modern Warfare 3, World War 2: The second day from the eyes of a post man working in France (Special Edition) Remake. As much as I would love to play the role of a postman during WW2, I’m glad they took a chance on a new IP and gave us Singularity, available for the PS3, PC and Xbox 360.

Brian Jones I remember when the game Bully came out, everyone was outraged that it was a GTA style game with kids, instead of guns you had sling shots, instead of grenades you had fire crackers and instead of fighting mobsters for turf, you had to survive jocks in gym class. It was a fun game that gave us a Read More

Brian Jones Yeah, I’m starting out with a call out to Chocolate Rain. It makes about as much sense as this title does. Which makes sense because it was penned by the same guy who made Omikron: The Nomad Soul and Fahrenheit, two of the stranger action/adventure games to make it onto console systems. The Read More

Brian Jones In a stunning display of network errors, Sony has managed to kill the video game playing abilities of its Blu-Ray Player, the PlayStation 3 with a new firmware update that hit users this Sunday. The error known as “Error 8001050F” switches the system’s internal date to 12/31/99 (possibly Read More

Brian Jones Single gamers, take heart this Valentine’s Day for while you haven’t found love, you can skip the whole ordeal of meeting the expectations of others and instead spend you money on the only sure thing this loveless weekend. That’s right, BioShock 2 is out. Sure, you may not have love, but Read More
Plastic Booty Rockin’

Brian Jones If you look at my apartment you can clearly see the last thing I need is another plastic instrument. I got guitars and drums and microphones littering the floor, like an over grown preschooler with his Fisher Price noise makers. When I heard about DJ Hero I was ready to hang up the plastic toys Read More
